The weekend summary!!

So, this weekend we did not do a lot of training, but we did sort out our sponsor forms for both World Cancer Research Fund and Kids Aid Tanzania.

John went to a stag do on Saturday, but unfortunately did not manage to raise any money (I think he might not have even tried! I don’t blame him though) He did find out that Daniel Wong is an ace with the html thing, so we might take advantage of his skills and maybe ask him to make us some funky things to put on the blog... ideas so far are:
SPONSOR A STEP: where you can get your very own step up Kilimanjaro without even making the physical effort!
SPONSOR A CHEEK: yes, only John could have came up with an idea like this!! Since we are probably going to have to have some inoculations (at least that’s what he’s hoping) his plan is to put our bottoms on the line to let you choose which one of us gets it in the bottom... I am not too keen on this idea...since I might have a slight suspicion of what the outcome may be.

Paula was a lot more successful with the sponsorship money with a generous donation from Leanne Egerton of £4 towards world cancer research fund, the first sponsorship via our sponsor forms! Yeahh!!!
Unfortunately it did empty her purse! ... Sorry... :P I think maybe lovely fiancé David might be paying for meals this week?

Thank you!!!

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

So it’s decided September 2011 we will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of two very important causes: Cancer prevention research and the children of Tanzania.

Yes, you’ve heard right! I know you might be thinking we are unfit and probably overweight and that we’ve gone mad, maybe we have gone mad but in September 2011 we are planning to climb not only Africa's highest peak but also the world's tallest free standing mountain.... all 5,985 meters of it to help raise funds towards the projects of these two amazing Charities; World Cancer Research Fund and Kids Aid Tanzania.

We have some very hard months ahead of us, with the training and the fundraising but the cause is definitely worth it! So please, please, please, we will really appreciate your support!!
